Ripple’s XRP token has finally overcome the $1 mark. The asset last traded above $1 in November 2021, three years ago. XRP has had a rough few years due to Ripple’s lawsuit with the SEC. The suit was settled earlier this year, and the fintech company paid a $125 million fine.
The asset is currently down by about 68% from its peak of $3.40. The popular crypto hit the $3.40 mark in January 2018, nearly seven years ago. The asset failed to hit a new peak during the 2021 bull run, likely due to the SEC lawsuit. With its legal woes over, XRP may be gearing up for another shot at reclaiming its all-time high.

According to Telegaon, Ripple’s XRP token will not hit the $540 mark anytime before 2040. The platform anticipates the asset to trade at a potential maximum price of $50.34 in 2040.
