X’s payment platform, called X Money, is a highly anticipated feature from the social media giant. According to X CEO Linda Yaccarino, the feature is set to debut sometime in 2025. X owner Elon Musk recently said that the payment feature will have a “very limited access beta” before a wider release. Many crypto enthusiasts eagerly await Musk to enable cryptocurrency payments on X Money. Some of the suspected cryptocurrencies include Dogecoin (DOGE) and Ripple’s XRP token, among others.
Will Elon Musk Enable XRP Payments On X?

There is no official confirmation whether X Money will enable cryptocurrency payments. Musk has long supported the crypto industry. Many of his ventures accept crypto assets, such as DOGE and Bitcoin (BTC) as payment. This has led many to believe that X Money will eventually accept crypto payments. XRP is the latest to join the rumor mill.
According to X user Pumpious, Ripple’s XRP token could be accepted on X Money. XRP has seen a sharp increase in use cases globally. Many platforms utilise the XRP ledger for remittances.
If X enables XRP payments, the asset could see a surge in adoption. The social media platform has more than 500 million monthly active users. A rise in adoption will likely lead to a substantial price spike for the token.

There are also 10 XRP ETF applications with the SEC. An ETF approval and X payments together could lead to XRP’s price skyrocketing. We may see XRP finally breach the $10 mark.
While an ETF could become a reality sometime this year, there is no confirmation if X will include XRP on its payment feature. Crypto fans are hopeful Musk will take a similar route to his Tesla and SpaceX ventures. Both businesses have crypto payment portals. DOGE and BTC are currently the two coins accepted by many of Musk’s businesses. The list may soon grow to include Ripple’s XRP token as well.
