One of the world’s largest payments networks is opening its cash-to-crypto services to Solana through a single API for compliant conversions.

Solana says the service is now live on the blockchain and embedded in the Solana Developer Platform payments module.

The integration provides instant API credentials, sandbox access, SDKs, and documentation without requiring any banking infrastructure or complex regulatory work.

Cash deposits are available in over 25 countries while withdrawals reach more than 170 countries and territories.

Rift is the first Solana wallet to integrate the ramps, allowing users to move between crypto and local currency through MoneyGram’s physical and digital network.

The move expands options for remittances, cross-border payouts, payroll for gig workers, and aid distribution by connecting onchain flows directly to cash locations.

The Solana Foundation is emphasizing the global reach.

“Solana is infrastructure for the more than six billion people on the internet, powering a faster, more open, global financial system,” said Lily Liu, President, Solana Foundation. “By connecting our ecosystem to MoneyGram’s global payments network through MoneyGram Ramps, developers are able to more easily build financial applications with real-world utility at global scale.”

MoneyGram is underscoring the value of broader access.

“The future of payments is built on access,” said Anthony Soohoo, Chairman and CEO of MoneyGram. “Every platform we connect expands the reach of our network. Every customer we serve makes that network more valuable. Bringing MoneyGram Ramps to Solana is another step toward building a truly open, global payments network.”

MoneyGram operates with over 60 million active customers, nearly 500,000 retail locations, and a digital footprint across more than 200 countries and territories.
