Japan’s Financial Services Agency (FSA) has recognized Ripple’s XRP and over 100 other cryptocurrencies in its recent framework. For the uninitiated, the FSA approves which cryptocurrencies can be traded on exchange platforms that operate inside Japan. This also includes big names like Binance and Coinbase, among various other exchanges.
Around 28 cryptocurrency trading platforms are registered under the FSA, providing services to users. The regulatory monitors digital assets, and every platform must register each cryptocurrency that it lists. Moreover, only after approval from the FSA can the tokens go live for trading. The regulatory body has recognized various cryptocurrencies, and leading altcoins like Cardano’s ADA, Ripple’s XRP, and Solana’s SOL have made it to the list.
However, the FSA confirmed that they do not endorse the 100+ cryptocurrencies and have only recognized them. The development indicates that regulatory bodies around the world trust Ripple’s XRP. “The crypto assets handled by the Crypto Asset Exchange Service Providers listed in this list are merely confirmed to fall under the definition under the Payment Services Act, considering the explanation of the Crypto Asset Exchange Service Providers.”
